On Wednesday 6th March 2019, we are hosting a unique Safety Exchange event in Sydney titled ‘Global Perspectives on Leading Safety’, with Guest speaker Dame Judith Hackitt.
SafetyWorks founded the Executive Safety Exchange in 2015 to create a purposeful peer to peer networking group of executive leaders across Australia. The aim being that those who play a leading role in influencing positive outcomes for workers are able to connect, learn, challenge and generate greater influence on safety and wellbeing outcomes both in their own organisations and the wider business community.
“We want to lead change in workplace health and safety performance, through effective and inspired senior leadership, influence and shared learning”, said Liz Nicol, SafetyWorks Director.
Dame Judith Hackitt, a leading international safety expert from the UK, will present two sessions looking at; “Global perspectives on leading safety” and “Understanding systemic failures – lessons from Grenfell”.
Dame Judith Hackitt, DBE, FREng, FIChemE, FCGI is a British engineer, author, and civil servant. A former Chair of the UK Health and Safety Executive, she is currently Chair of the manufacturing trade body EEF, and recently led the independent review of Building Regulations and Fire Safety related to the Grenfell Tower Fire.
