Jul 16, 2018 ![Naidoc week banner](https://blog.safetyworks.com.au/hubfs/Naidoc%20week%20banner.jpg) Last week, we celebrated NAIDOC week and embraced the 2018 theme ‘Because of her, we can! This year’s theme celebrates the essential role that women have played – and continue to play – as active and significant role models at the community, local, state and national levels. In recognition of this theme, we'd like to share a wonderful website created by Rona Glynn-McDonald, a proud Kaytetye woman. Rona's website, **[Common Ground](http://www.commonground.org.au)** shares Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and lived experiences with the mission to help Australians see the value of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures through providing access to engaging and authentic content, that will help bridge gaps in knowledge.
